Elite Field Hockey Club: Volunteer Code of Ethics


The objectives of Elite Field Hockey Club are:


We are a volunteer organization whose primary goal is β€œTo promote the enjoyment of, and participation in, the sport of Field Hockey.”

Our club is volunteer driven – the two largest groups your player will contact, coaches and managers are all volunteers.


Core Principles of Volunteer Ethics


  • Transparency & Honesty: Identify yourself, provide accurate information, and be truthful in all communications.
  • Respect & Dignity: Treat coaches, other volunteers, players, and parents with courtesy, respecting diverse backgrounds and avoiding harassment or bullying.
  • Integrity & Trust: Take responsibility for your actions and ensure your efforts genuinely help, act consistenly and build trust through reliability.
  • Mission-Driven: Put the organization's goals above personal interests; your role serves the mission of Elite FHC.
  • Confidentiality: Protect sensitive personal information of players and the organization.
  • Professionalism: Use good judgment, maintain high standards, and represent the organization well.

  • Value the Community: Focus on the needs of the players and their experiences with the service provided.
  • Report Concerns: Bring ethical dilemmas or misconduct to the attention of leadership.
